Its only a week or two away before the new term starts, here in the UK, and like most of you; I'm sitting here wishing the summer break would last just a bit longer.
Fear Not! Your world has not yet ended! Its this time of the year where starting a new school life may seem stressful but also exciting too.
Once you return back to school or even start a new one; it's the perfect opportunity to meet your school friends who may have been away on holiday or even make new ones. The best way to start a conversation is to ask how they have spent their holiday away from school. Shared experiences often lead to further conversation. Once you have conversation flowing, you will definitely feel much more at ease! Its totally understandable that these things are much easier said than done.
Let's not forget that your teachers will also be in the same position as you will be; I'm pretty sure that like yourself, your teachers will also be dreading their first day back at school and the same goes for those new teachers that will be starting this year to replace those that may have left in the previous school year.
Why not exchange a smile at your new class teacher; they will feel at ease and you will feel much more confident to start your new day!
Remember if you're not sure how to begin your first day back at school, ask around your friends or family to get an idea of their experiences. Careful! These insights maybe biased; just remember to start your day with an open mind so you can make your fresh start. Everyone else will be in the same position, so try not to expect too much, the first few weeks or so should fly by and before you know it; settling down into your new year should already have happened!
P.s sorry this post is a little late, nevertheless any questions you have feel free to leave comments!
Cheerio for now!

Summer Sale 2013 - Early Bird Catches the Worm
It is a common notion that sale items are sold on quickly and in large quantities to demanding customers. I can assume that with the current end of season sale well underway, the most popular and demanding products will most likely be sold out; right?
Yes and no - During sale periods especially; I tend to buy larger quantities of reduced items mainly on impulse! And when I stride out of the bustling stores; up to my arms with bags of clothes, clothes and yet more... clothes! I do feel like I have just come out of a rain forest expedition rather than a simple shopping trip. But I also know that I can be hugely indecisive when it comes to picking the right outfit for a specific occasion;
-I may rely on feedback from my shopping buddies if a certain item may suit me or not?
-I may rely on a mannequin (that is nowhere near what I actually look like!) to imagine myself wearing the outfit I have in mind.
-The changing rooms maybe closed/too busy for me to take time to try on that outfit
-I don't have the time!
So I am more than likely to return more than half the items I bought in the first place; at this point I become an absolute hypocrite! I feel good buying loads of stuff not because I have maxed out my credit cards at this point but because I feel I have saved some amount of money purchasing during the sales and also the fact that I can go home knowing I will spend my evening trying on clothes whilst imagining myself a tall, slender supermodel strutting through the flashing lights on a fashion catwalk! (In my dreams!)
The point I am trying to make is that sales don't end as soon as items become out of stock; because customers will continue to return their previous purchases and stores may continue to discount new lines that will be added to the current sale so this season's stock can be moved on to make room for newly upcoming stock. Some items may be discounted even further and you may find yourself trying out items you may not have originally considered!
I have also found that products on sale amongst online outlets tend to diminish at a faster rate. There are only a handful of warehouses that will stock the entire range but even more stores that may not offer you complete freedom of choice as a website would but are more likely to stock certain sizes, designs, styles that may be unavailable elsewhere.

Summer Sale 2013 - Gift Bargains
I know more people that have upcoming birthdays just around the corner, unfortunately it is also this time of year I end up being more strapped for cash than during the festive season. Most likely because I am spending more on clothes, holidays, filling up the Car's fuel tank - (More road trips I guess!)
Thanks to the wondrous invention of the Internet; I know I can use some spare time to research for potential gifts, Most of these products; which will be listed from UK retailers within their summer sale lines.

Indian Bling Notebook and Pen @ Accessorize.com |
This dinky notebook and pen set currently retails for £3.00 within the sale. This is small enough to be used as tokens in gift bags or even a last minute purchase for a distant friend or relative.
Novelty gifts come in handy at this time of year - from a flying remote controlled helicopter to a mini cooler fridge; gadgets and gizmo's come in all shapes and sizes and mobile gadgets specifically where you can take them on the go are great for long car journeys or just to pass the time at sunny barbeque's and picnics in the park.

Good Times The Film Buff's Guide - Movie Night @ Argos.co.uk retailed at £9.99 |
Save money - Buy as a group!
One other suggestion could be to gather around 2-4 people and maybe decide to purchase one large gift or a few small ones but inevitably the total cost will be split amongst yourselves. Its a good idea not to have too many people within the group even though individual burden costs maybe low; it could potentially lead to conflicts and delaying on the actual present which will be later gifted to your 'Birthday friend'. Another option; along the lines of cost sharing could be a secret Santa; where you could write down different themes of the present e.g. joke/ chocolates/ luxury/food/useful+practical: therefore the person whom selects the item will be responsible for purchasing it
Summer Stationary - Rainbow Pens
Warmer weather has finally come knocking on my door and this time round it seems as if blue skies are here to stay for the long haul. Every season I like to transform my pencil case with brand new pens, pencils and general stationery tools. I am an absolute sucker for creative stationery; I am most likely to regularly refresh my pencil case with new gagdets and gizmos than I would with my make up bag.
I don't believe we absolutely have to use monochromatic shades of ink all year round. Agreed that Black and Blue Biro's come at the forefront of every pencil case to every office desk but imagine if your entire wardrobe outfits were only made up of Shades of Black and Blue? This season is key for making brighter and bolder choices!
Which is why I like to introduce a splash of colour. I like to differentiate my notes between their individual importance and relevance. Because of this; I am in love with these Staedtler Triplus Fineliner Pens. I like to think of these as professional gelpens! A rainbow colour collection perfect for doodling cartoons or annotating notes.
Here are some ideas you could use:
*Green - Grocery/Shopping Lists
*Red - Important reminders/dates to remember
*Yellow - Days out with friends/family
*Pink - Clothes shopping list!
*Blue - Holidays!
As you can see; there is some level of colour coordination according to the category but it does help me organise my calender and more likely to help me remember certain reminders according to colour rather than the date itself. Of course each colour can be alligned to events that you feel suits you best.
The advantage of this brand in particular is that each pen is moulded to a triangular shape for better grip and comfort when writing or drawing! Fingers often warm up more regularly in the heat, especially when you are writing a lot more! (Summer Exams and Essays come to mind!) Pens without a rubber grip are more cooling to the finger tips as they create less friction.
The flap can be lifted and pushed backwards that creates a front-facing stand, making it much easier to keep your entire pen collection in one, organised case. The sturdy 10 pen set collection can easily fit into most satchels and handbags to carry on the go. Simples!
They can be found in most stationery outlets including Amazon.co.uk; the 10 pen set is currently retailing at a discounted price @ £4.99.
